Method
This quest consists of preparing 10 dishes with Jean Pierre. For every dish you will need to bring a list of ingredients and Jean Pierre will cook them into a dish, which you will receive. After finishing all dishes you will also get Jean Pierre's Cookbook I and Jean Pierre's Cookbook II. Then you can make every dish again, once a year, but you will have to bring the ingredients again.
CipSoft held a Gourmet Competition in May 2010 where players were asked to design some new recipes for Jean Pierre to cook. There were 4 winning recipes which was introduced into the game with the summer update 2010. (Be aware that some details about these winning recipes might be changed a bit when they were introduced) The winners and those dishes are as follows:
- Best Starter: Coconut Shrimp Bake by Natalya Rimsky, an exotic rice dish with a touch of white and brown mushrooms.
- Best Main Dish: Blackjack by Karolak, it's like a stew that looks rather awful, but it is pretty tasty and vitamin-rich.
- Best Dessert: Demonic Candy Balls by Hitogedgy, delicious dreams of sweetness with some unpredictable effects for those who dare to eat them.
- Best Drink: Sweet Mangonaise Elixir by Exaga, a kind of powerful magical liquid that works perfectly with rings.
With the introduction of the Monk vocation, a new dish Zaoan Sauce was added to complement the Monk's use of Fist Fighting skill.
Notes:
- The first time you finish the quest you get 14 dishes, after that you can do any recipe again for a total of 28 dishes the first time.
- Most items can be bought in many different towns but if you only visit these towns: Edron, Venore, Darashia, Ankrahmun, Thais, Carlin and Svargrond you will get them all (except items you can't buy) and do less traveling.
- The flour can be made by harvesting some bunches of wheat with a Scythe and used with a Millstone or buy the wheat in Thais from Donald McRonald for 1gp each.
- Annoying as it is, when he asks for a vial of something (e.g. milk), the container MUST be a vial, otherwise he won't take it, bottles, mugs, etc. will be rejected; to get a vial of anything, use the container with the liquid (for example, a mug of mead) on the empty vial and the liquid will be transfered. Vials can be bought filled with water in Edron for 8gp each, or oil in most other cities (Venore just to mention one) for 20gp each. Empty the vial of its contents and use it on a cask of wine/beer/mead which can be found in certain buildings all over Tibia.
- Hint: You can also parcel a freshly killed creature from another character, so you only have to run from Darashia depot.
- Important: Each dish can only be used once every 10 minutes.
Starting the Quest
To start this quest, you must find Jean Pierre. He is a few steps to the west of the Blue Djinn Fortress (here) and tell him "hi, cook, recipes, apprentice, yes". He will ask you for ingredients to make a certain dish, bring them back to continue to the next dish. You can look for them as follows:
Dish 1: Rotworm Stew
For this dish you have to bring:
- 2 meat (buy in e.g. Darashia)
- 20 potatoes (buy in e.g. Venore)
- 1 onion (buy in e.g. Ankrahmun)
- 1 Bulb of Garlic (buy in e.g. Ankrahmun)
- 5 ounces of flour (make it in Thais)
- 2 vials of beer
Dish 2: Hydra Tongue Salad
- 2 Hydra Tongues (buy in e.g. Venore)
- 2 Tomatoes (buy in e.g. Venore)
- 1 Cucumber (buy in e.g. Thais)
- 2 Eggs (buy in e.g. Venore)
- 1 Troll Green (12 respawns in here)
- 1 Vial of wine
Dish 3: Roasted Dragon Wings
- 1 Fresh Dead Bat (run within 5 minutes from Port Hope into Tiquanda)
- 3 Jalapeno Peppers (buy in e.g. Ankrahmun)
- 5 Brown Breads (buy in e.g. Carlin)
- 2 Eggs (buy in e.g. Venore)
- 1 Powder Herb (3 respawns near Wyda)

Dish 4: Tropical Fried Terrorbird

- 1 Bar of Chocolate (loot from Nightmare Scion and Piñata Dragon, can also be obtained as a reward of the Barbarian Arena Quest and by using Surprise Nests.)

- 10 Rice Balls (If you give a Bunch of Ripe Rice to Swolt in Farmine, he will make 10 Rice Balls for you. You need to have handed in 4 Tome of Knowledge to Cael first before Swolt will make the Rice Balls for you.)

- 3 Candy Canes (Candy Canes can be looted in Grynch Clan Goblins and gifted by Santa Claus during Christmas.)
- 2 Bar of Chocolates (loot from Nightmare Scion and Piñata Dragon, can also be obtained as a reward of the Barbarian Arena Quest and by using Surprise Nests.)
- 15 Gingerbreadmen (Can only be made in the Christmas Bakery if you learned the Gingerbread Recipe and gifted by Santa Claus during Christmas.)
- 1 Flask of Demonic Blood (Lootable in any of the following creatures: Betrayed Wraith, Dark Torturer, Diabolic Imp, Fury, Grim Reaper, Hand of Cursed Fate, Hellhound, Juggernaut, Nightmare, Fluffy, Tormentor.)

- 1 Young Lich Worm (dropped by Count Vlarkorth, Duke Krule, Earl Osam, King Zelos, Lord Azaram, or Sir Baeloc)
- 1 Taiyaki (can be fished with Yummy Gummy Worms or Gummy Rotworms in the cocoa lakes as well as in the milk lakes on Candia)
