Effect
It inflicts an open wound on the enemy target inflicting Bleeding condition making them lose health over time.
Notes
By focusing the inner strength into a sudden attack on an unprotected spot of an opponent, the victim suffers a deep wound which will lead to a considerable blood loss. This technique had been forbidden for quite a while because it was considered unnecessary cruel and harmful. Only a change of paradigm in the guild leadership reintroduced the once popular spell to the school canon.
This spell takes into account the Level and Melee (Axe, Club, Sword or Fist Fighting) skill level to determine how much damage you will deal to the target. It does only one-fourth of damage to players, from the amount of damage it does to creatures.
The damage is not based upon the melee skill level of the type of weapon you are wielding, but rather on the highest melee skill level of your character. So if you want to effectively use this spell, then the smart play is to always try to use it when in a Blood Rage.
