Notes

Devotion and dedication are the powers that fuel the paladin's divine wrath. As a life of piety and contemplation is a paladins very essence, the power of Divine Grenade comes rather natural to a paladin over time. By channelling faith and resolve the greatest of paladins manage to call down the wrath of the heavens to smite their foes. It takes time and effort to build up the immense power to facilitate such a feat, yet the result is more than worth the effort. While channelling such immense powers it's seemingly inevitable to experience strange visions and hard to grasp insights. To the untrained user it is a disorienting and overwhelming experience and only over time a paladin manages to use the Divine Grenade in an actual battle. A trained user is able to suppress the visions for the moment, though many paladins tend to meditate on them later, looking for hidden insights and wisdom.

Damage increases with higher spell stages, and is not affected by damage buffs received after the grenade has been planted. Unlocking higher stages will decrease its cooldown. If the player has a target that is 4 squares or less away, the Grenade will be placed at the target's feet. Otherwise, it will be placed at the location the caster is.

Divine Grenade Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3
Cooldown 26 seconds 20 seconds 14 seconds

This is a Revelation Perk granted through the Wheel of Destiny. Therefore, it has no gold cost and is not learned from any specific NPC.

The damage of the grenade is calculated in two stages. Upon cast, your magic level and flat damage are used to calculate the raw damage of the grenade. Upon explosion, it takes into account your critical chance, extra critical damage, any additional damage modifiers such as Divine Empowerment, any sources of Elemental Pierce, attack prey, and Bounty Talisman bonus damage.

History

As announced on June 16, 2026, the Vocation Adjustments Update 2026 introduced three targeting modes: with crosshair, at the cursor position, and at the target's feet (or the caster's feet if no target is selected).
