Ultimate Energy Strike
Usage Properties
Requirement Properties
Effect
Shoots a very powerful energy missile at the selected target up to 7 square meters away. If no target is selected, the damage is focused on the single square right in front of the caster.
Notes
This spell was formerly deemed as useless by its inventor. It took an whole hour to build up enough static to cause an eruption. Although the eruption was powerful, the whole process was by far too slow and so the spell was only used for certain traps. Only recently, better ways to build up energy have been discovered. They speed up the charge of the spell to an almost instant level. With this improvement, the spell has made its way from a list of curiosities to a quite popular spell. As the magic potential of a sorcerer is only strong enough to master one such powerful spell, Ultimate Flame Strike and Ultimate Energy Strike share the same cooldown, before either of them can be cast again.

History
- Prior to the Vocation Adjustments Update, Sorcerers could use either Ultimate Energy Strike or Ultimate Flame Strike. If the player had learned both, they could switch between them by speaking to Zoltan and paying 500 gp.
- The spell's group cooldown was changed from 4 seconds to 2 seconds since Summer Update 2024. Before that, the spell was meant to be used primarily as a finishing move because of the cost and the fact that casting it puts all combat spells on a 4-second cooldown. Considering that the spell's damage range is rather significant, many players preferred to cast two or three Energy Strikes instead.
- As announced on June 16, 2026, the Vocation Adjustments Update 2026 increased the base power from 150 to 210 and the range from 3 to 7.
