General

The Isle of Ada can be quite confusing for players unfamiliar with the map. There are lots of stairs, doors, and levitate spots to navigate through the place. Additionally, there are a lot of monsters, and the Night Harpies raids can be active during the nights, which makes the place even more crowded with enemies.

Etzel Writ

Find Kesar the Younger during the day, and speak with him about help. Kesar asks you to retrieve a family writ from below a cathedral located in Bounac. You need to open the hole using a Frozen Starlight, by placing it on the stand. The writ is inside a frozen chest. Bring the writ to Kesar.

Isle of Ada

Kesar asks you to travel to the Isle of Ada. Go to the shore south of the castle, and click on the rope inside a small fishing boat. You are transferred to the Isle of Ada.

Speak to NPC Second In Command Demeron and say hi, mission, tell, yes, yes, yes, he will grant you permission to enter the mines to the north west. By exploring the mines, your quest log should update when reaching this area here.

Go back to the entrance, and you should have access to the stairs. Make your way to the castle entrance:

  • up the stairs here
  • levitate up here
  • go up the stairs here
  • go to the gates here
    • if the gates are open: go inside
    • if the gates are closed: levitate down twice, here and here, go up the stairs here, again here, then go inside the NPC area through a door here
      • if you can not open the doors at this stage, or if you want to open the gates: levitate down south from the gates, here, levitate up three times here, here, and here. Levitate down here, go up the stairs, and click the two chain mechanisms that lock the gate shut. A player that is fast enough can do this alone, lower levels might be too slow and require more than one person, since both mechanism need to be clicked almost at the same time
  • reach NPC Guard Captain Hartford here

Night Harpy Beaks

NPC Guard Captain Hartford will ask for your help fighting against the Night Harpy scourge. By saying hi, business, explain, yes, he asks you to bring back 20 Night Harpy Beak Night Harpy Beaks as proof of help. Players will need to skin dead night harpies corpses with an Obsidian Knife Obsidian Knife for a chance to obtain a beak. Note that purchasing them from the market or other players is not enough to advance the quest. Each character will need to skin the items themselves.

Night Harpies only spawn at night time, as part of a Raid mechanic. They do not spawn every night. Once they start spawning, the raid will last for several hours, but they still only appear at night. Players should kill and skin their corpses until 20 beaks have been skinned. Return to Guard Captain Hartford and show it as proof by saying hi, news, yes, and access will be granted to the upper floor where Eldoran the Ambitious is. The beaks will not be lost.

Cleaning up the castle

To reach NPC Eldoran the Ambitious, players must go through a door that is initially hidden behind a tapestry. Someone will need to break the tapestry by using a weapon on it. The door can be found by going up the stairs here and here, the door will be here.

Talk to Eldoran the Ambitious and say hi, word, yes, yes, and he will ask you to clean up some corpses in the castle. There are three corpses, "use" each one to progress in this part. The corpses are nearby burning piles and they face to the right instead of the regular dead bodies facing west. They can be found here, here, and here. Once you have done it, return to Eldoran the Ambitious and say hi, news, yes.

Court Warlock

Ask Eldoran the Ambitious for another mission and he will ask you to take care of Court Warlock, the final part of the quest. Head down a few floors until you are in the basement with the Tamed Frazzlemaws, here, and you should have access to the doors. Make your way through the Blood Gorge and up into the west tower by going up here. Speak to NPC Captain Marie-Denise Banner and say hi, wall, and you will be granted access to the teleport by clicking on the wall here. The teleport will take you to the lever room that brings players to the fight against the Court Warlock.

The Fight

It is important to note that the first player to enter the lever room will have Raubritters continuously spawn on their position for the duration of the fight. It is recommended to make sure the Knight is the first player in the lever room.

The initial part of the fight will consist of fighting several Raubritters:

At intervals, all players will be teleported around the room. The room is divided into regular floor and "special" terrain. These special areas are visibly different, and players should avoid walking on them, because each step will deal high Death Damage.

Raubritters will continuously spawn, and players must keep killing them. If area damage is not strong enough, it is recommended to focus on single targets in order to avoid having four of the same Raubritter type alive at the same time. If this happens, they will change form into a stronger version of themselves, which can deal significantly more damage. Since Chivalrous Challenge cannot be used in boss rooms, the Energised Raubritters can become an issue as they will keep their distance from the Knight and be more difficult to hit.

After a few waves, the room will fill up with Falcon Paladins and Falcon Knights, and all "special" terrain will disappear, allowing you to move around the room freely. Once all of the minions have been dealt with, the Court Warlock will spawn. It spawns with less HP, depending on how the fight went until now. Finish off the boss, return to Eldoran the Ambitious, and say hi, news, and you will receive the The Broken Sword of Eldoran Etzel The Broken Sword of Eldoran Etzel and the Bastard achievement.

Optional 1: Supplies for the Steadfast

On the Isle of Ada you will need to make your way through the mines and into the first encampment on your first visit, Speak to NPC Lieutenant Harlan hi, yes, yes, no, and he will open a path to the north east. Offer to help and he will ask you to provide his camp with 20x Tender Venison Tender Venisons, and reward you with 10,000 experience points.

Optional 2: Emmanuelle's Boat Repair

Second In Command Demeron asks you to bring him spare parts to repair the boat:

In return, he will give you The Mariner's Compass From the Antoinette The Mariner's Compass From the Antoinette.

Optional 3: King's Council

Go to NPC Kesar the Younger and say hi, help, and he will grant you the King's Council achievement, and the second addon of the Outfit Royal Bounacean Advisor Male Addon 2 Outfit Royal Bounacean Advisor Female Addon 2 Royal Bounacean Advisor Outfits.

Etzel Writ

Player: hail
Kesar the Younger: Hail, what can I do for the hero of Bounac? The siege is finally under control, thanks to you. Meanwhile, another problem has left me in dismay.
Player: problem
Kesar the Younger: I have sent a party of my best men on a mission to a certain island to... investigate a royal matter. However, they have yet to send news from their quest. ...
Kesar the Younger: Hero of Bounac and royal advisor of the court, I am in need of your help once again.
Player: help
Kesar the Younger: My knights embarked on the Emmanuelle, our flagship. They were to set sail for the Isle of Ada to retrieve word from an old order of... knights, residing there. ...
Kesar the Younger: There is, however, another twist to this tale, I fear I cannot keep from you. A long kept Bounacean secret is about to be lifted, all in due time. ...
Kesar the Younger: There is a room below the cathedral that was once the stage for quite the spectacle. By decree a guard was to be garrisoned there at all times, day as well as night, an armed magic wielder. ...
Kesar the Younger: The room was locked from the inside and there was no other direct access. All of this to protect a single chest. Its... precarious content was subject of several attacks, in hope to destabilise the then still struggling Bounaceans and their leader. ...
Kesar the Younger: During one of these attacks, a hired magician found a way to enter the room. The warlock down there managed to subdue the perpetrator but had to seal the room... and ultimately himself from the inside. ...
Kesar the Younger: The shift was never changed again, the room was kept unbreached until this day. The chest houses a writ that was quite important for Kesar Etzel, my ancestor. And it still is to the Etzels, in this case: me. ...
Kesar the Younger: I will not tell you what is written there but I want you to retrieve it and bring it to me. You will have to find a way from the sacred halls directly above it.

Player: hail
Kesar the Younger: Hail, what can I do for the hero of Bounac? The siege is finally under control, thanks to you. Have you been able to help the expedition?
Player: help
Kesar the Younger: Now that you know our family secret, I want you to take the writ with you and show it to Captain Banner, leader of this expedition.
Kesar the Younger: The Isle of Ada is uncharted and difficult to reach. Either you have a very strong ship or a very nimble boat. ...
Kesar the Younger: Since the port of Bounac is still in quite the turmoil, find a boat to the south near the old fisherman's hut. Say no word to anyone besides the captain and make utmost haste. Are you prepared?
Player: yes
Kesar the Younger: Then make it so. Find Captain Banner on the Isle of Ada, state the purpose of your mission, which is to support them as well as the Stags and bring word of the expedition.
Player: Banner
Kesar the Younger: Strong, resilient and completely trustworthy. Currently out on an expedition, it's been a while, actually...

Finding Heir of Eldoran

Player: hi
Second in Command Demeron: If you don't carry any spares, state your business quickly or move along.
Player: spares
Kesar the Younger: Second in Command Demeron: I will get back to this later. Now either you're just a confused bystander or you're on a mission to get on my nerves. What will it be?
Player: mission
Second in Command Demeron: If you can't tell me why you're here, stop distracting me and at least try helping some of my men knocking this measly camp into shape!
Player: tell
Second in Command Demeron: How did you even manage to get here with that sorry excuse of a sailing boat? So you say Kesar himself sent you, giving you details he did not disclose, even to us? And do you have any proof for that outrageous claim?
Player: yes
Second in Command Demeron: Royal Bounacean advisor? Why should Kesar constitute someone like you, this is saying nothing without proof. Has he really told you what this is all about?
Player: yes
Second in Command Demeron: A bastard?! Lower your voice, stranger, that's no trifling matter. At all... you say you have solid evidence of this?
Player: yes
Second in Command Demeron: A certificate of... oh my. That should have stirred something up in the ivory tower, heh. ...
Second in Command Demeron: Alright... well, excuse my temper, it's all hands on deck for us since we barely set foot on this accursed rock. Let's take a break and start this conversation properly. ...
Second in Command Demeron: We need to find the heir of this Eldoran then. His knights must be on this island somewhere, but we did not encounter any of them so far. If the threat you mentioned is real, they may be in grave danger, as are we. ...
Second in Command Demeron: Fight your way through the mines and further into the isle. We need to get to the bottom of this and we also need to find a way to survive: there is no escaping for us in our current state.

Fightning Night Harpies

Player: hi
Guard Captain Hartford: HALT! Outsider, state your business!
Player: business
Guard Captain Hartford: So you tell me you took a stroll all the way up the mountain, right through the middle of the enemy lines, past the bulk of the cursed hordes in the outskirts and in here. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: All this with a healthy disregard of our bastion's massive walls, the defense perimeter of my guards down in the dell and the influence of the warlock. Explain yourself.
Player: explain
Guard Captain Hartford: I see. If Kesar himself got wind of this and decided to send help, then his court wizards must have come to the same conclusion as Eldoran. We're screwed. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: Royally so, if I might add. There is no way through the outer perimeter right now. We need to defend the castle yard and I have no men to spare. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: That's the situation. If the others are pinned down and the mines are still lost, then we cannot get outside help or supplies. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: You have been very lucky - and very bold to make an attempt like this on your own. Alas, a few warriors would indeed have a greater chance than a battallion under these circumstances. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: I say we continue to stick to that plan. Say, are you in for another round?
Player: yes
Guard Captain Hartford: I counted on you. We have two main issues here: the cursed onslaught and the death from above. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: While we can still hold a considerable number of the cursed puppets in check, they keep coming and the warlock manages to recruit a steady amount of new material day by day. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: The numbers of order knights to succumb to the warlock's power is dwindling, for whatever reason. Yet they are increasingly difficult to defeat, the more men we lose. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: The winged horrors that haunt us during the night are another story entirely. We do not yet know how many of them exist or where their roost is located, but they want to occupy the bastion. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: If you can help us with those night harpies, we would be grateful and far in your debt. Just bring me a few of their beaks. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: To do so, gently pull the beak of a killed harpy, then press it downward and pull it slightly to the left or right in a single, firm move. It takes some skill and might not always work but I need proof of at least a few more of them dead. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: If you show your goodwill, I will give you access to the upper hall, you will be able to contact Eldoran himself, if you can get through.
Player: winged
Guard Captain Hartford: We first encountered these winged terrors on a routine patrol through the outskirts. They must have started nesting here only recently. We never had any harpies on the isle before the warlock took service with Eldoran the Ambitious. ...
Guard Captain Hartford: So maybe there's a connection. In any case, they attack viciously but only at night. They have a roost far to the south of the island, somewhere in the mountains. But none of us is strong enough to muster a raid party.
