Pitfall

This is a very tricky tile! If you don't watch out and walk over it you will fall down in a cave with e.g. Dworcs (a lot of pitfalls in Tiquanda), Chakoyas (near their settlement) or Quara Scouts (Talahu and Malada).

• Pitfall closes 5 minutes after it's been opened.
• Looking on the closed pitfall results in a message "You see grass".
• Closed pitfall will not open if a creature steps on it (attacking a monster standing on a closed pitfall also does not make it open).
• Throwing an item on a closed pitfall does not make it open.
• Closed pitfall will not open if a player climbs up through it from the flower floor.
• It is possible to rope players and items through a pitfall in both stages (opened and closed).
• It is not possible to open a pitfall with a shovel or a pick.
