how can you become an administrator, and what is the job of an administrator, please tell us.

DM for admin

Wow! Thanks!

Oh Wow! I certainly didn't expect to become an admin, but thank you! Makes me feel appreciated! I won't let you down!

Congratulations Lord de los Druidas

Welcome to the ranks of TibiaWiki admins! Also, welcome back from your retirement! Glad to have you with us.

Retirement

I think it would be useful adding who has left the game. I'll start by adding myself. Edwin de waterman  => Talk <=  Profile ·_· Contribs <·> 15:19, 29 September 2008 (UTC) <·>

Message

I think we need a new way to contact Erig since his website is down. Btw, I don't need to contact him ;-)

--Jaafreitas 21:27, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

You can send a message to him using his talk page, or privately through Special:EmailUser/Erig... -- Sixorish 05:53, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

I was trying to say there are pages on wiki still linking to http://www.erig.net/pm.php like this article.

CipSoft interview

As part of being a promoted fansite, we are entitled to an exclusive interview with a CipSoft member once per year. I think it's about time we used that feature. Please start thinking of a person to interview and some questions! --Erig 06:39, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

Well let's see, we have a list to choose from here (could be added to cip article). I would like to talk to a Cip member with some content knowledge, rather than technical or graphical. Maybe it's also a good idea to list other/older interviews with Cip members, to not ask the same question again (I'll go look later when I have time). As for questions, some obvious ones like "Did you ever visit TibiaWiki?" (to find info about your own game XD). Maybe "Do you ever feel lonely on the Isle of Solitude?" (a word joke). I'll think about some more serious questions later. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 07:50, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

More pressing questions like whether stockpiling information destroys the game and quest spoilers ruin the fun are more of the order.

It was created the page Talk:Main Page/Interview to the community post their questions, then the interviewer(s) or the administrators can choose the best questions to ask and the person to interview.
By the way, who'll be the interviewer(s) (assuming it's an in-game interview)?

<·> Hunter of Dragoes <·> My Talk <·> My Contributions <·> 18:01, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

It will be easier to submit our questions via email. --Erig 21:49, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

Easier via email? Yes, but then we can't take a "smile-screenshot", it will be less personal. As promised:

No doubt, this list is incomplete, stay tuned for more search-work, or search yourself! ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 09:27, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

I just added Guido's and Knightmare's interview to your list, Bennie.

<·> Hunter of Dragoes <·> My Talk <·> My Contributions <·> 17:01, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I think we should start sorting and eliminating questions for the final interview by selecting final questions and putting them on the interview page. Some questions pertaining to the Autumn Patch have already been answered, and other questions are known from previous interviews or are common knowledge (known in-game, or on tibia.com). Also how much can we edit questions to be simpler or more understandable and can/should we combine similar questions? --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 18:47, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Good idea! More than a month passed, we got quite some nice questions. Shall I start of? We can always edit and improve each other :) ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 18:50, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Pictures

hey I got lots of pictures of me kiling new bosses and nice new stuff about tibia.

I would like to submit the picture of a new boss called cublarc the plunderer, how can I help? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Randomsorcerer16 (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Hello, you can go to the page Cublarc the Plunderer and add the image you want to add there. Uploading a picture can be done by going to Special:Upload. If you still have questions feel free to ask. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 09:18, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

You gain permission to upload after 4 days and 10 edits. You can alternatively upload to another website (e.g. Imageshack and we can then upload it here. -- Sixorish 16:13, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

Administrators

The administrator team is slowly getting smaller, last appointments were waaaay to long ago. In other words, if you want to apply, feel free to do so. Unlike Erig, I'm not gonna appoint users who are suitable without any confirmation from their side first. Instead, you have to apply :) ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 12:10, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Linking a picture to an article.

I just looted a Shield of Corruption. Already added the loot statistics and the picture, but couldn't link it to Shield of Corruption article. You can msg me or search for the pic in the pics page. Thanks :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mariann22 (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

I answered your question on my talk page.

ok

I consider myself retired, after having left TW for 1,5 month (the urge to look at it was removed by removing the link from my bookmarks), so I put myself retired from the last day I edited. Well, not counting this edit of course. Also I saw Sixorish being more active lately, would be kinda weird to have him listed retired but still editing. But if you disagree Six, feel free to change it back, please don't feel offended in any way. That's all, have fun developing this wiki further! -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 12:34, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

For now I'm okay as being back, but I don't think it will be for very long. I planned to come back to help with the move only, as some templates could break with a new configuration and such. For some reason there has been no progress (?) of this move since Hunter of Dragoes became contact person. My edits will eventually fade out if things don't change because I edit here on the assumption that we'd leave this domain (because it seems this whole wiki is a dictatorship since Wikia took control), but even if we move, my edits will still end at some point in the near future. I took up the challenge of testing some mathematics behind the game for fun and for mathematical insight as to how these things work. However, as said, I will abandon all tasks I have set out to accomplish if things don't go well with the domain move. In fact, I would like it if we had a more restrictive license to prevent the backward compatibility between Wikia and the new domain ... but I'm not sure we can do that. I'd hate it if Wikia tried to keep this alive once/if we moved.

Anyway, good luck with your life, and with university. -- Sixorish 15:30, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

loot statistics

what about adding new statistics for all monsters to 9.1 instead of 8.6 that is how most of them are now?

EvilPuncker 23:13, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

EvilPuncker, see Talk:Loot Statistics#9.1. Monsters which are known to be different (e.g. those which drop coal or mount items) will use 9.1 while all others will use 8.6 because we don't want to lose valuable data. -- Sixorish 23:39, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Vandal: Kamiluch

Just a message pointing out a Vandal who's edited several pages with the same message earlier today.

Dealt with the two vandal accounts. Going to protect some high-traffic pages they are targeting. Thanks for the warning. -- Sixorish 22:07, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Project leader

Is it still correct to say Erig is our project leader? Maybe we should rephrase it in something like he is the founder and TibiaWiki is leaded by a collective leadership of admins. What do you think? -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 11:37, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

I agree with that. He did a lot for this wiki but hes not a leader anymore. foggy 16:24, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

I agree, is just what it is, no big deal. --Daniel Letalis 23:09, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

Standardization

In trying to standardize all of our infoboxes I decided to spruce up Our Quest Infobox. See User:Craggles/Infobox/Quest, and drop any comments on it being better or worse. Personally I quite like it, especially for matching the body positing and style of all the other Infoboxes.

I've just seen the one for the game worlds, it looks great! I think it's a good idea, it seems like it will save space for long lines of text and I reckon it looks smarter too. Beejay (talk) 00:33, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

There is a problem with ice islands wikia, not showing up for me at all.

Hey Jonasmaki,
if you mean the Loot section of the Calculators page, we are aware of the issue. As you can read on its talk page, you can still access it by using Monobook skin - just click on the first link of this comment - through Mozilla Firefox.

About the Possible Vandalism Warning

Made an account to clean up some pages.
Is flagging my edits as possible vandalism though :/

Would like to let admins know I'm not malicious :P
Warning notices are annoying af tho.

Violent Beams (talk) 09:38, April 26, 2020 (UTC)

Don't worry, that warning box go away after 24 hours and should be triggered just by brand-new FANDOM accounts.

Hunter of Dragoes (Talk · Contribs · Admins) - 17:59, April 29, 2020 (UTC)

Possible 469 vandalism

I highly suspect that edits by https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/ZenDaddy are vandalism. From cryptography standpoint, it is very, very unlikely that a short ciphertext decodes to a long text and vice versa. There is no indication of a method to obtain such a result. Alip Aldo (talk) 16:51, 19 April 2023 (UTC)

Hey there,

Thanks for the heads up, those translations are definitely not true. I have reverted all the edits. -- Molx (talk) 17:16, 19 April 2023 (UTC)

Requested change

Hi all, sorry if this isn't the right place, but I'm not sure how else to request it. The page for the old NPC Muriel says it's impossible to buy a spellbook from him, but it's definitely possible by saying spellbook and then yes, for 150gp. I'm not sure how to change the trade list, could anyone do it for me instead? Thanks! Daddycory123 (talk) 00:27, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

Done, thank you LszTschis (talk) 15:20, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
