Justification for this page

I created this page as a result of multiple discussions about allowing articles for individual characters (initial reactionary proposal because of vandalism and the lack of organization, indirectly related question about in-game events, most recent discussion and explanation). I feel that this page can be valuable to the tibia community if it is done correctly. This is not a place for people to show off or try to become famous. It is an encyclopedic article to convey information that is interesting and relevant to the entire Tibia community.

I tried to write guidelines that will allow the admins to easily update the page, and keep it useful for all readers.

Nice idea, thanks. :) --Erig 16:48, 15 September 2006 (PDT)

Cachero

Has this guy done anything else? Just being the second highest level sorcerer doesn't seem that interesting. It's also something that can change very easily, leaving him with no claim to fame. Not to mention, he's not even the highest level of all sorcerers... only second highest.

I removed him for now, but if there is something else he has done, post it here and he can be re-added.

I saw arieswar getting added and removed again, but according to this page he should be added, since he experienced a bug that made him level 100+ once, which makes the bug quite interresting imho

I personally know both the NAMES of aries war and cachero - and personally I think cachero is alot more rfamous that setzer gambler - namely because he's a jerk :).
Craggles

Being "Famous" is no reason to be listed here. Also, anyone can get level 100 or 200 anymore... it was interesting the first time, now it is getting old.

Can you elaborate more on this bug that made Arieswar level 100? That sounds interesting, but only if it is true. Please give references to tibianews articles, Tibia.com news articles, or any other proof if possible.

Thanks!

These posts shows the 3 main bugs he discovered, getting level 130 or close to that due to a bug, finding out all monsters dropped a rare on their first spawn after serversave (and abusing that) and finding the cyclomania sword in a cylops, which was also a bug.

I am afraid this is the best source of evidence I can find, tibianews doesnt have any articles about the subject except for a very old interview in which he talks about the rares at serversave bug, the 100+ bug isnt mentioned.

I found some more info on the level bug for Arieswar, I'll post it and add him to the list. Some additional information would still be helpful.

I think that Cachero owes be in this page because he has a page. He was a highest.

<·> Hunter of Dragoes <·> My Talk <·> My Contributions <·> 11:22, 19 September 2006 (PDT)

I still don't think that being a "highest level player at one one time" is enough to give him a page here.

If there is something else that is interesting or useful to know about him, then please update the Cachero page. Otherwise, I'm planning to delete it soon.

The simple information that he is the "fourth highest overall level" can be easily seen by visiting Erig's top 500 list of players. There is no reason to duplicate that here. Same thing with the level of other players. Levels change all the time, and it is counter-productive to list them here.

The character pages should only contain encyclopedic information in line with the nature of wiki articles and their use by the community.

-- WhitelacesTalk † χρισtoς αnεσtη, αληθως αnεσtη -- 12:57, 19 September 2006 (PDT)

What I don't get is how Aries war find and exploit the bug. From what i've seen he jsut happened to be in the right place at the right time - right? It's all rather confusing because he seems clever enough to abuse bugs , yet stupid enough to get caught. So how did he find and how did he abuse this one?
Craggles

That's the kind of thing that justifies having this page on the wiki in the first place. If anyone has more information about the DSM loot bug that Arieswar found, please update his page with that information. I have already added all of the information I was able to verify.

well people, personally I think tha tcachero's case coulçd be somehow interesting... the story of how he got a 30 day ban for acc. sharing when lvl 200+...

also, I dunno if there alerady is something like this, but Mateusz Dragon Wielki is now the highest leveled druid, and the second highest level on tibia
reason enough for a page I suppose

anywa that's just my opinion

I know a fair bit of this history but it is not fully applicable to just these characters. We may need a new page for old tibia (not antica) with references to the character articles as they apply. (Old SoV room, Alex scandal, Aries'war bugs, House keys, early guilds, the old rares, cheating~GM powers, etc.) Back to topic. Smoked does have some information about his history of strongest knight, cheating, collections. At the least he is a good example to show of the consequences of cheating. :P
Proposal for characters: Lostboy, Lightbringer, Alex, Smoked, several GMs, others i cannot think of...) The problem with my list is not all these people affected all tibia, excepting those who exsited when it was only "Tibia." --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 18:36, 17 April 2006 (CDT) 10:12, 17 February 2007 (PST)

Rename the page?

I think the page Characters should be renamed. Why?

  • Its not a list of all characters
  • It doesn't explain what Characters are

I suggest "famous characters" or something for its new name *grin* Just look at the "What links here" page and you'll see that they link there because they think it'd explain what a character is.

Point well-taken. I have moved the page to "Distinctive Characters" since they are not necessarily "famous", but are notable in tibia history.

Speculation?

Is it really neccesairy to put speculation about accountsharing on every highlevel's page? Every 150+ player get's accused of sharing at some point, it really doesnt seem that usefull to add it to every page, in eternal oblivions case half the page is about these speculations. I'd suggest we remove all this nonsense from these pages, since obviously it's not needed.

I agree. Unless the account has been banished or received a notation for sharing, then there is no reason to mention it on their article on this wiki.

Add me please, if you like ;)

Sadonic

I don´t know if this may be interesting enough but:

- I am a peaceful guildleader on an pvp-enforced world (max lvl 78 so far with that strategy) - I developed a new kind of trading suitable for pvp-e worlds: got a trader in every town here (11 overall), so I never travel, but send the stuff to sell from my shop Shady Rocks 4 (Shop) to the wanted city and sell it there with a trader.

Sadonic 07:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

You'll not be listed.

<·> Hunter of Dragoes <·> My Talk <·> My Contributions <·> 18:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I understand your reasons, Sadonic. But this way of 'safe trading' is commonly known and used by a lot of people, maybe in other ways than you excactly do it. This page is not meant for 'normal' people, that's why I agree with Hunter of Dragoes.

There was this Novan who got the only pair of Golden Boots on Nova for reporting a bug that allowed you to get free premium account.. Also edit mr Paulistinha, being the first level 300 to be pk'd is no reason to be on the list. First 1 billion exp is (which lead to a highscore bug).Elwen 16:17, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Lord'Paulistinha

I have changed that. I don't think the highscore bug is a valid reason (IMO, it's a website and doesn't effect the game itself), the main reason he's accepted is that he's the current 'highest level' -- Sixorish 17:13, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

So we should list all players that has been highest, or what? Personally I was going to remove Lord P, but then he reached 1mk exp, which I see as a valid reason.
Art Featherpitch 19:38, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

the 1 billion experience is a good reason (and only good one for him), but if he reaches lvl 400 that will also be a good reason (every first 100, 200, 300 etc. is a good reason). ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 19:55, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

the page states "Highest level character in the entire game of Tibia." is a valid reason, which would probably mean every time the highest level changes, pages would be created/deleted over and over. -- Sixorish 01:24, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

TibiaWiki namespace?

This page seems more of a wiki guideline than an informative article. Should we place it in the TibiaWiki namespace? -- Sixorish 23:38, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

new distintictive character?

meanwhile i was doing my research about game worlds i found an interesting fact. Vanessa of furora was the first level free account to get level 100 in rookgard. I think we should add this character, Because getting level 100 in rookgard is really hard and is even harder to get level without having a premium account Starygurl 18:08, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

I think you can add him. I'm not sure what criteria we use for distinctive characters, it's had to be famous on all servers since you can only play on one at a time.. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 17:25, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

I was browsing the world pages about highest levels on each server and that stuff and ended coming across this page. When looking at the secura world page I realized Templar of the Darkness was no longer on the page, and I thought he might belong here. He was the first druid in tibia to complete the annihlator.

Raticate - 1st Level 1 to get an Achievement

Hi! I think Raticate should be nominated as the first Level 1 character to get an Achievement, if this is true. What do you guys think? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bawbert (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Anyone can skip the tutorial and do Happy Farmer or other easy achievements on Rookgaard. I don't think it's worth mentioning that on the article. — Arkshi 15:17, October 3, 2013 (UTC)

Kharsek

Kharsek should be added to this list for being the first player ever to obtain level 700. -- Wouterboy (talk) 17:24, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
