Requirements
- Completed up to Cure the Dogs mission of the The Ice Islands Quest to access Inukaya;
- 2x
Hams (access to Grimlund area in Nibelor via sled); - Completed up to An Offer You Can't Refuse mission of the The New Frontier Quest to access Muggy Plains;
- Optional: access to Azzilon Castle (check No Rest for the Wicked Quest).
- It is possible to proceed in this quest without going to Azzilon and speaking to Lai.
Mystery of the Valley
Travel to Azzilon Castle from Edron and meet with Lai. Ask her about statue and she will tell you about an ancient secret related to Merudri civilization and a mysterious valley. She tells you the valley was once forbidden to outsiders, and about a legend on a trespassing adventurer who saw a Merudri pilgrim using a statue with three dragons holding a crystal to travel back to the valley.
Find the three fragments and assemble the 
Guardian Statue (Quest).
First Fragment
Head to Nibelor and use the sled (here) to access the east part of the island, Inukaya. You need to have Hams in your backpack to go to and from this area, so it is recommended to have at least two with you.
Walk a bit more east and levitate up this mountain (here) twice. At the top, use the shrine and you will find the 
first fragment of a statue.
Second Fragment
Lai tells you the second shrine is in an area with lots of green, insects buzzing, heat shimmering, bamboo trees, and grass. Head to Muggy Plains in Zao and go up the stairs here.
Use the shrine and you will find the 
second fragment of a statue.
Third Fragment
Lai tells you the third shrine is in a dry area with large rocks and cliffs, where a large river flows through the land and saturates the barren landscape, and with someone walking around not far from it.
Head to the Southern Steppe in Kilmaresh, go up the stairs here, and levitate up a platform west from NPC Tefrit. Use the shrine and you will find the 
third fragment of a statue.
Crystal Fragments
Lai congratulates you for gathering all missing pieces of the statue but tells you need a few more crystal fragments from the original statue found atop a rock in Kha'zeel.
Head to Ankrahmun desert and levitate up the mountains to the west where you can find some Energy Elementals (here, and then here). Walk a bit north and levitate a last time (here).
Use one of the three pieces of the statue from your backpack in the crystal fragments on the floor and the Guardian Statue (Quest) is assembled.
