The creatures that drop Bunches of Winterberries

Begin by traveling to Thais and talk with Emilie just west of the north gate, here. Ask her about a mission. You need at least 3 bunches of winterberries on you. If you agree, she will send you to the Winterberry cellar, here. There you can talk to Gruffy who can inform you more about the event.

This World Quest has several repeatable stages made of the below phases. You may see orange messages informing you of what you have to do in each phase. Once all phases are complete then you begin the next stage or the event is successful.

First you must bring 10 Bunches of Winterberries to the cellar. Go to the north end of the cellar and use a Bunch of Winterberries on one of the Moulds. When you use it, you will see the following orange message: "Squish!" After you have squished enough bunches you will see the following message: "You already delivered all of your winterberries for today." A total of 100 winterberries have to be delivered to proceed to the next stage.

Next you need to tread the Winterberries in the vat by walking over them. As you walk on each square they will become smoother. After a certain amount of time that a square is not walked upon the berries will regress to a prior smoothness and will need to be walked upon again. Therefore is it necessary to have multiple people involved to keep up.

Phase 2 may be interrupted with three other needs:

After these phases more berries may be needed and an orange message informs you to get more berries, then you must again follow phases 1-3.
It is not certain how many times the phases will repeat, but eventually a message will appear saying the event is finished.

There is a "tub of berries" at the north end of the cellar. The berries sprite reflects the stage you are in, so by the end of the final stage the berries in the tub should look like the last stage of Pressed Winterberries:

To leave the Winterberry Cellar, tell NPC Gruffy "Hi, Thais, Yes".

NOTE: The event will be successful as soon as a total of 40 loads (4000 Bunches of Winterberries) are stomped.

There were a few known issues with this quest that were fixed as of the 5 October 2011 server save.

• Sugar kept being added but the system did not recognize that there was enough.
• 24 hours after any given player entered the cellar and the event was successful, if any players were still in the cellar, they would be teleported back to Emilie.

Talk with Emilie:

• If the world finishes the quest, Health and Mana Potion's effect will be enhanced by 33% for 7 days.
• After contributing in the event over 3 years (at least one Bunch of Winterberries for one of the events each year) you will receive the achievement Berry Picker.
