Loot Statistics on Double Loot Weekend

I saw you have been uploading loot statistics recently. This is just a reminder in case you haven't seen the warning at Loot Statistics yet.
The Double Loot Weekend started with today's server save. Please, do not upload loot you obtained during this event till it is over at August 07's server save.

Double Loot

It seems that two weeks ago you uploaded loot statistics from June's double loot weekend. At least the following pages were affected:

Do you still have your loot logs? If so, can I have them for further analysis? Otherwise, in order to be sure to get rid of all double loot, we would have to revert all loot statistics pages you contributed on that day to before your edits.

So, I finally went through this list and found some minor things you missed as the maximum amount of Soul Orbs and Great Health Potions dropped by plaguesmiths and the maximum amount of Great Mana Potions dropped by blightwalkers. Also, you didn't decrease the kill count when you fixed lost soul stats. According to the loot log you linked in my talk page, you killed 29 of them, so this was the number I decreased from the kill count.

However, I noticed there was no fix for the ghastly dragon stats. There is not a single ghastly dragon in the loot log. I'm afraid we will have to remove all 500 kills you added (even though not all of them are from the double loot weekend).

¡Hola Lord Galarzaa! Es un placer saludarte. Te hablo en español porque deduzco eres mexicano y hablas dicho idioma, según dice en tu perfil, y al ver que eres admin del wiki de Runescape. Mi motivo de presentarme es explicarte que estoy actualmente ayudando al wiki en español sobre Tibia para que este quede más actualizado a los tiempos actuales. Aunque es un wiki grande con muchos usuarios y lectores, desgraciadamente no hay muchos editores habituales ni tampoco nadie que tome actualmente las riendas y termina finalmente como su admin. Debido a tu afición sobre Tibia y a que hablas español, me gustaría saber qué opinas sobre ello o qué sugieres que podríamos hacer para que el wiki de Tibia siga hacia adelante de nuevo, con aquella gente que esté decidida a tomar las riendas. DPL Performance Improvements: Testing Next Week

Hello,

In recent weeks, our engineering staff has been reworking some code of the DynamicPageList (DPL) extension in order to correct a bug and, by extension, dramatically improve query performance, speeding up article page load times.

We are intending to push that change live on your wiki Monday, May 13th. This change should be invisible - the actual wikitext nor the visual output of DPL queries is expected to change. We are confident this should be a smooth rollout due to testing we did prior to this stage. However, as your community is one of the largest on Fandom using DPL, I wanted to proactively inform you of this change so you can be on the lookout for any unexpected problems.

If next week you notice any sort of unusual issues with DPL, please report them immediately through Special:Contact. You can refer to "PLAT-8725" in any bug reports to help us more efficiently triage the concern.

New CM introduction

Hi! I'm ReverieCode, and I'm part of the Community Manager team at Fandom, focusing on gaming wikis.

QuickAnswers and reviews

Hey there. I have a new update to share regarding Fandom's QuickAnswers feature.

Some wikis are starting to receive QuickAnswers - in case you’re not aware, these are AI-generated prompts in a Questions & Answers format (full details, including visual examples, can be found in the QA help page).

The way QAs work now is: there is a Dashboard page accessible by admins and moderators where questions can be reviewed and edited if needed, and a review period each time new QAs are added to pages (they only go live after being reviewed or once that period is over). The idea is that wikis start with a first set to be reviewed (which I believe are between 30 to 50 questions on 10 content pages), and then more questions are added periodically, but the amount of questions received / how often they’re received are all numbers that can be altered.

Tibia Wiki is one of the next wikis that could be receiving these, but before that happens, I wanted to check in and see if this feature is a cause of concern for the wiki, or whether it’s something people had feedback on - either about the feature itself, or the review period that I mentioned above.

In general, what are the wiki's thoughts on QuickAnswers? Any feedback on this would be very helpful for me to let the team know whether there is a preference over having it, or not having it around the wiki. –ReverieCode 11:27, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
