Enemy damage testing

So I wanted to update some weaker creature damage values on the wiki and to see if I'm doing everything right, I've tried Cyclopses and Mammoths. I've stripped myself from equipment, went offensive mode just in case and all I had was 0.45% mitigation. Results of max damage taken when attacked by more than 2 of said enemies (again just in case shielding still works) was 85 and 90 respectively. While those numbers make sense, they are quite far away from 105/110 that we have on the wiki. That made me wonder if I'm doing everything correctly so I came here to ask about that before I'll start changing numbers to incorrect values. Hayaku (talk) 23:07, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

If I can add my two cents, since I've been researching damage topic for a while:

  1. Being naked, you have basic human atk/def stats. To eliminate them, the easiest way is to equip a bow (without a quiver) User:Alip_Aldo#Zero-stats_character. Of course, don't forget about possible reductions from the wheel (use character stats view of cyclopedia to confirm).
  2. Melee/distance damage in Tibia has different distribution than spells. (AFAIR monster's distance is considered a spell). Spell damage is uniform (flat) in a given range, but melee damage is "spiky". Compare the two histograms below (damage on X axis): in this example, the first plot is player's distance damage, and the second is mob's spell damage.
  3. With uniform distribution, you can meaningfully estimate max damage by "adding the average gap to the max observed value". (See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLCwMRJBhuI for a fairly pop-sci explanation). That is, if you observed 100 valid attacks with max damage 120, you could with high certainty tell the max damage is about 120+1.2 => 122.
  4. Sadly, melee distribution is not as simple, as high values are less likely to happen.
  5. If you collect any data, I'd be grateful if you archive the Server Log along with your stats :).

How were the tools made?

Hello,

I was wondering if I might be able to talk to whoever made the tools pages in this wiki because I'd like to do something similar but I have less experience with it. Thanks!

New fields

Please add the following fields to Infoboxes, and I will input the new knowledge sourced from the Magical Archive / Offence Stats:

  • Infobox Spell: Base Power, Scales with, Range, Rune Amount
  • Inbobox Object: Accuracy (seen in Offence Stats)

Rashid

Greetings mates! First, I'd like to apologize if this isn't the right place for this.

The reason for my message is that I'm encountering a problem with Rashid's profile. The issue I'm noticing is that if we open the profile for any item he purchases, it says the location is in Darashia, and today, for example, being Saturday, it would be in Edron.

I think it would be a good idea to have all the items he purchases listed in the "Varies" location, like Yasir's.

I've tried to do it myself, but I can't find a way. So, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows how to do it and agrees to have it listed this way.

Thank you very much! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by THEKASIUS (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Domizian

Good afternoon, I would like to make a suggestion for the NPC Domizian sheet. I'm realizing that he can't be traded without finishing the Grimvale Quest - An Ancient Feud, since I've already been able to access the red-knobbed door, but it won't let me trade with him because I haven't finished the quest. I think it would be good to put a (¹) in the list of items that I trade stating that he can only be traded after having the quest, as is the case with Rashid's sheet and other NPCs. I've tried to put it, but I don't think I have the permissions to do so. Thank you very much again! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by THEKASIUS (talkcontribs). Alaistar & Flint

Greetings, fellow Tibia Wiki members! I have a suggestion for the Rathleton City NPCs who are new to Rathleton City, as they only purchase certain items if you are a Rathleton citizen after gathering the necessary vote points in the Oramond Quest. I think it would be good, as with Rashid, to indicate with (¹) those items that they cannot purchase without that requirement.

For Alaistar: this would be all items except empty potions, which they accept without being a Rathleton citizen.

For [[Flint]: You must be a citizen of Rathleton to sell him the following items: Alloy Legs, Cowtana, Crest of the Deep Seas, Gearwheel Chain, Glooth Amulet, Glooth Axe, Glooth Blade, Glooth Cape, Glooth Club, Glooth Whip, Heat Core, Metal Bat, Metal Spats, Mino Lance, Mino Shield, Mooh'tah Plate, Moohtant Cudgel and Rubber Cap.

Thank you very much!—The preceding unsigned comment was added by THEKASIUS (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Done, Alaistar for commoner, and Flint for inhabitant. Thanks. LszTschis (talk) 15:34, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

Double Jab

Hello! I'd like to make an edit suggestion, as I found a small mistake, and I can't find how to edit it myself. It's on the Monk spell Double Jab page. The information says the NPC is located in Quirefang, when he's actually in Blue Valley. Thanks a lot! :)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by THEKASIUS (talkcontribs). Staff prices

I have a correction proposal that I can't edit. Looking in-game at the Staff item, which has been changed from Knight to Monk, I see in the cyclopedia that the "Buy from" prices for the NPCs Shanar and Gamel have changed to 335 gps. I've been able to update the rest of the item's data, but the prices are what I can't update. Thank you very much.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by THEKASIUS (talkcontribs). Maddening Mushroom

Hello! I noticed a missing item here called Maddening Mushroom. I created the page, but since the item doesn't exist in the database, I don't know how to add the item image or assign it an ID. I also don't know in which version it was implemented. I would greatly appreciate it if you could fill in the relevant information. Thank you very much in advance! Thanks for the help, as always.

Cuckoo Clock (Movable)

Hello! I noticed that the item Cuckoo Clock (Movable) didn't include all the NPC traders in the game or the purchase price, but they don't appear on the listing. I added the missing ones in the editor, but I can't get the purchase price to appear: 40 gp. I'd appreciate it if you could update the information. Thank you very much, as always.

Nunchaku

Good evening, I've noticed that the NPC sellers and buyers of the item aren't listed in this article. I've updated their names in the code, but they're not reflected. I'd appreciate it if anyone could complete the information. Thank you very much.

Pair of Monk Fists

Good morning. As with "Nunchakus," the list of NPC buyers and sellers of Pair of Monk Fists isn't showing up. I've updated the NPCs in the code, but the last step is missing to make the list appear. I'd appreciate the help, as always. Thank you very much.

Sai

Good morning! As with Nunchaku and Pair of Monk Fists, the correct list of NPC sellers and buyers of the item Sai wasn't appearing. Currently, only Esrik is listed. Therefore, I've updated the list in the code as well, and I would appreciate it again if you could update it in the module so that it appears on the page.

Important note: Currently, only Esrik is listed on the condition that 9 tomes be delivered, but I've been able to confirm by visiting the NPC that it can be sold without having the tomes, as with the rest of the NPCs. Therefore, the footnote for this item could also be removed.

Thank you very much in advance, as always.

The Dream Courts Quest - Charging The Compass

In the "Charging the Compass" subquest, there's a moment where there's an effect called "bait" that lasts 10 minutes. If you need to reactivate it, you have to speak to NPC Andrew Lyze to reapply it for 5,000 GP, as the guide says. The problem is that I don't think the keyword for recharging it, which is "bait," appears in the transcripts or is clearly spelled out. I think it would be very helpful to clarify this.

Thanks a lot! :)

Bounty Talisman

Hello everyone!

I'd like to request that the NPCs from whom the item can be purchased for 5000 GP be added. They are: Augustin, Briasol, Chantalle, Edmund, Gail, Hanna, Ishina, Iwan, Jessica, Odemara, Oiriz, Talila, Tesha, Tezila, Valindara, Yonan, Giri, and Kiru.

They are in the code, but they don't appear as a list, and I don't have permission to do so myself.

Thank you very much, best regards, and Happy New Year! :)

Requesting adminship

I don't know that I want adminship but, I was curious if there was a way other than adminship to increase my rate limit? I was trying to help update spell costs this morning buuuuut I kept getting rate limited and gave up =P —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Strikoria (talkcontribs). Admin status is not given that easily. In your case, it is just a safety measure because you have an account without any activity suddenly becoming active. I do not have exact numbers, but after a short time, if activity is maintained, you should no longer have such low limitations.LszTschis (talk) 18:01, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

Spells and NPCs

Hi.
Is it correct to remove references to an NPC (e.g. Ethan) from the Module:ItemPrices/spelldata? Does this remove all associations between the spells and the NPC?
Thanks.
Thascius (talk) 11:41, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

Hey, you will not be able to do it because it is a protected page. But since no NPCs sell spells anymore, this should be done in the future by an admin LszTschis (talk) 11:54, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
The protection message isn't displayed to me. I can edit it and, apparently, save the changes. Anyway, I'll leave that for the admins to handle.
Thank you.
