Summary
ChangesOne does not lose so much experience points when dying anymore. In the north there is a large new underworld. ChangesAn anti-kick feature was implemented, to protect players affected by kicks. Quest doors have been adjusted to prevent trapping: instead of using the door to enter, you may pass through a player inside a quest door provided you meet the requirements to do so. The following creatures have had loot adjustments officially mentioned: Juggernaut, Blightwalker, Lost Soul, Defiler. Player and creature summons no longer have corpses. Consequently they do not appear in the server log. Askarak Demons and Shaburak Demons had their defense and melee attacks heightened. Quest doors have been adjusted to prevent trapping: instead of using the door to enter, you may pass through a player inside a quest door provided you meet the requirements to do so. Many changes were introduced to Paw and Fur Society tasks A bridge was erected to connect the two sides of the ice just west of Svargrond (here) to make accessing Badgers easier for the Paw and Fur Society task. Horestis' tomb is no longer empty if the world change is in its first stage. Creatures now spawn there to defend the reign of Horestis. Players now get an additional reward by successfully finishing the A Pirate's Death to Me World Task. The Easter event was replaced by the brand new event Spring into Life. ChangesTheir Master's Voice: The Mad Mage will now spawn randomly at one of three different locations in the dungeon. Also, CipSoft addressed an issue that allowed players to seal the area off for other characters until the next server save. The world change now gets reset to its initial slime stage if there is no character in the dungeon that has gobbled enough slime to face the mage. Moreover, CipSoft addressed an issue with reappearing slime even though players had managed to clean the whole area. A couple of map issues and typos were fixed. Open PvP worlds received a redesigned unjustified kill system, first announced here. This includes: A PvP bar which shows your progress towards Red Skull or Black Skull, it can be turned on/off via Options --> Status --> Show PvP Frames. The amount of frags has been reduced from 20 to 5 unjustified kills. The display of PvP modes in your client has been slimmed down, you can toggle between simple and expert mode. If you are standing in a stack, you are now able to attack any skulled character. Summary
ChangesAn issue has been fixed where Vladrukh was invincible at the start of the fight and could not be defeated. The Galea Mortis can no longer be imbued with Punch imbuements. Available Punch imbuements for Umbral items have also been adjusted as well as imbuements for the Umbral Katar. The Proficiency Perk "Mana on Hit" in combination with Damage Reflection or the Parry charm no longer results in gaining mana when being hit by a creature. In the Char Bazaar, fragment progress for mods is now shown correctly. Fixed a display issue in the Wheel of Destiny planner on the website that showed incorrect percentage values for critical extra damage. Furthermore, a bunch of older issues were fixed: Fixed a problem where Rotten Charges appeared in Bakragore's boss room immediately after entering. Resolved an issue where Goshnar's Greed became stronger during the fight, despite players having successfully destroyed the souls in the vortices. When fighting against Earl Osam, it is no longer possible to prevent the magical spheres from spawning and moving towards the boss to heal him. In the fight against The Nightmare Beast, the curse will now be cast anew if the cursed player leaves the fight via the teleport or through death. Fixed an issue in the fight against Dragonking Zyrtarch where the boss was not teleported back to the room with the Soulcatchers. Ekatrix can no longer appear twice at the same time. If you got stuck in Dr. Merlay's Misery task when handing out letters, talking to Maro or Alaistar again should now allow you to proceed. The magical watch in What a Foolish Quest can now be taken out of the box in Triangle Tower once per day, as long as you have not finished mission 5. ChangesA new linear tutorial replaces Dawnport with Newhaven. Dawnport will be removed from the game. A new NPC dialogue interface makes conversations more convenient and immersive. Vendors, bankers, and transport NPCs display small optional icons above their heads indicating their function. A new info banner displays milestones like level-ups and hints for players up to level 20. An optional melee weapon animation for auto-attacks appears in the game window. Existing characters can no longer return to Rookgaard after the update. New characters can travel to Rookgaard via Newhaven. Adjustments to existing systems: The Mana costs of all wands and rods requiring level 20 or lower have been drastically reduced. The Arrow Call spell now creates 30 arrows instead of 3 per cast, costs 30 mana instead of 10, and is automatically granted to Paladins after choosing their Vocation. The range difficulty system has been streamlined. As a result, lower-level Paladins will now hit their targets more reliably from a distance. This change does not affect characters with higher distance levels. Regeneration rates have been adjusted: all vocations now regenerate at the same intervals (every 4 seconds for HP and 6 seconds for Mana, the amount regenerated depends on the vocation eating Food shorts the interval to 3 seconds for HP and 5 seconds for mana Achievements have been adjusted to remain obtainable. Berserk, Mastermind, and Bullseye Potions, as well as the Jack to the Future Quest, become available to all vocations (potions without effect). A few quests can now be replayed for their alternative achievement, costing a high gold fee. Additionally to the new tutorial area, a few balancing changes were released: Bounac The respawn time of regular lion creatures in the outer regions of the castle is now significantly longer. All regular usurper creatures will switch targets much more frequently, but will mostly prioritize players who have already attacked them On the east coast of the bastion, the number of usurper creatures that vanish into the boss fight when the lever is pulled has been heavily reduced. Usurper raids now last longer and are announced by text messages in the affected areas. Several narrow passages in the maps have been broadened to allow smoother hunting. The monster density on the east coast and in the western part of the bastion has been increased. Usurper Knight: increased Physical Damage sensitivity: 65 → 85 Hell Hub/Grounds Grimeleech: reduced gold gain by 8% Monk vocation adjustments: Weapons with an attack value of 35 or higher have had their attack reduced by 2. ChangesAdded three new buttons to the Dialogue Interface: Yes, No, and Bye. Players can now engage NPCs with the same clicks normally used to attack enemies with regular and classic control. The NPC chat channel tab no longer opens automatically and is no longer highlighted by new messages. It now primarily serves as a chat history. When leaving an NPC dialogue, the previous chat mode is restored. The Refined Bow has been added to shops, and players can no longer get trapped on house roofs in Newhaven. Summary
ChangesThe update changed the game so that spells are unlocked automatically upon leveling up and no longer require any cost: Spells that previously had to be learnt from spell trainers are now unlocked automatically when levelling up, free of charge. Spell trainers can no longer teach spells; related NPCs and map guides have been adjusted accordingly. NPCs remain available for interaction, but no longer teach spells. Spells are unlocked at the same level as before and remain available in the Spellbook and the Magical Archive. Newly unlocked spells are automatically added to the Action Bars if space is available. This behaviour can be disabled in the options. For existing characters, all spells up to the current character level are unlocked automatically without being added to the Action Bar. Each newly unlocked spell is announced via a banner message. These changes apply to all characters, regardless of Free or Premium status. Not affected are starting spells, spells from the Wheel of Destiny, and spells learned via quests, shrines, or specific NPC interactions. Additionally, changes were made to: Bone Overlord boss fight Players can no longer be feared over Wraithfire fields. Changed the super drunken spell to regular Drunk. Decreased the duration of root and fear. Slightly reduced the damage from An Eye. The Order of the Stag Quest areas Reduced the damage from Raubritter Skirmisher/Raubritter Marksman/Raubritter Chastener by approximately 8%. Bloodfire Gorge: reduced monster density and decreased monster respawn time. Reduced the monster density at Bastion and Adaean Mines. Deep Desert Undead Elite Gladiator: increased XP 5,090 → 5,700. Skeleton Elite Warrior: increased XP 4,800 → 5,370. General changes: Fixed an issue where self-healing through Virtue Spells for monks did not work with skull. ChangesGeneral Avalanche Rune, Great Fireball Rune, Thunderstorm Rune, and Stone Shower Rune now all have the same base power of 50. Explosion Rune area has been increased from affecting 5 to 9 squares. Auto-attacks with AoE ammunition now only trigger charms on their main target. Gift of Life now also recovers 20/25/30% of a character's maximum mana. The XP bonus for groups consisting of two and three different vocations has been increased: Two different vocations: 30% -> 35% Three different vocations: 60% -> 70% Combat Modes are no longer available. To compensate for the bonuses they offered: The attack value of all characters has been increased by 20%. The defense value of all shields has been increased by 30%. The defense value of all spellbooks has been increased by 60%. The mitigation formula has been adjusted to reflect the removal of combat modes. The type of weapon worn now has a much larger impact on mitigation. Dedication Perks now grant 0.075% mitigation multiplier per Promotion Point, instead of 0.03%. Gems now provide 20/22/24/30% mitigation multiplier, instead of 5/5.5/6/7.5%. Monster mitigation has been increased. Mana Potion changes: Great Mana Potions, including corresponding kegs and casks, can now be used by all vocations. Added Superior Mana Potion, Distilled Superior Mana Potion, and Distilled Ultimate Mana Potion. Distilled potions have the same effect as their non-distilled versions and can be used by all vocations, but they cost 50% more gold. Energy Ring now consumes 2 mana per point of damage, instead of 1. Ultimate Healing Runes and Intense Healing Runes can no longer be used on other characters. Rods and Wands Improvements Numerous Strike Imbuement limitations have been removed. Attacks now generate mana instead of consuming mana. Range has been increased. Knights Stances: starting with the promotion, a knight can now switch between two stances: Blood Rage: grants 30% sword/axe/club fighting and increases damage taken by 15%. Protector: grants 30% shielding and reduces damage taken as well as damage done by 15%. The skill bonus of both stances impacts your total skill (including bonuses from gear and other buffs like potions). These stances replace the spells of the same name, which are now no longer available. Mana Cost Adjustments Berserk: increased from 115 to 125. Fierce Berserk: increased from 340 to 360. Groundshaker: increased from 160 to 200. New Spells: Shield Bash, Shield Slam Healing Adjustments Healing spells of knights now scale better with magic level and shielding. All knight healing spells now have a group cooldown of 2 seconds instead of 1. Wheel of Destiny Adjustments Front Sweep augments: first grants +40% base power; second increases shape to hit two additional squares to the sides of your character, for a total of 5 affected squares. Shield Slam augments: first grants +15% life leech; second grants +25% damage reduction, for a total of 75%. They replace Chivalrous Challenge augments. Groundshaker: first and second augment have been switched. The positions of Groundshaker and Shield Slam augments have been switched in the wheel. Battle Healing has been reworked: increases the effect of your healing spells by 10%; this bonus is tripled while wearing a shield; no longer grants healing when challenging. Combat Mastery has been reworked: you take less damage the lower your life is (1% reduced damage taken per 12/10/8% missing HP, with bonus doubled while wielding a shield. Monks Virtues: Virtues now additionally grant bonuses to nearby party members: Knight: -3% damage received. Paladin: +6% auto attack damage. Sorcerer: +6% spell and rune damage. Druid: +12% healing done. Mentor Other has been removed to compensate for this change. Monks benefit from the same bonuses while Serene, as long as the respective vocation is present. New Spell: Thousand Fist Blows Other Improvements The Way of the Monk Quest bonuses have been expanded. In addition to granting up to 100% increased damage for auto-attacks, each shrine now grants 2% damage reduction against melee auto attacks, up to a total of 20%. Mass Spirit Mend is no longer a Spender Spell. Its cooldown, base power and icon have been adjusted accordingly. The caster only receives a lesser effect, similar in power to a regular Spirit Mend. Mystic Repulse: base power has been increased from 72 to 85 and cooldown has been reduced from 20 to 12 seconds. Chained Penance and Spiritual Outburst: jump range has been increased by 1. Additionally, they now chain to the closest target instead of the target with the highest health percentage. The Monk Familiar is now better at hitting enemies with its spells. Wheel of Destiny Adjustments Thousand Fist Blows augments: first grants +40% critical extra damage; second grants -6 seconds cooldown. These replace Sweeping Takedown augments. Flurry of Blows augment I enlarges the affected area instead of granting 5% Life Leech. Guiding Presence now shares 100% of the Mantra effect, instead of 50%. Sanctuary: it now additionally increases the damage you deal to adjacent enemies by 10% and the healing you do to adjacent allies by 10%. Mystic Repulse augment I now reduces the cooldown by -6 seconds instead of -4. Mass Spirit Mend augment II now reduces the cooldown by -4 seconds instead of enlarging the affected area.
