Any newly appointed knight can learn this spell for free. It was invented by the knight's guild to provide their members with some much needed healing abilities. As the name indicates, the spell helps to clean wounds rather than to provide full healing to a seriously battered knight. Therefore, it is more of a pain relief rather than a true healing spell. Nonetheless, in extreme situations this spell can still serve as a last resource to escape death. As the spell was specifically developed for knights, it uses the limited magical potential of knights to its full extent.

History
- Wound Cleansing was originally a premium only spell but was changed in the Winter Update 2010 to reduce the level requirement and make it a free account spell; at the same time a stronger version of Wound Cleansing was introduced: Intense Wound Cleansing.
- Wound Cleansing replaced Light Healing for Knights although it is far more effective (much greater HP/Mana ratio) than its earlier counterpart.
- As announced on June 16, 2026, the Vocation Adjustments Update 2026 reduced base power from 150 to 70, and introduced a group cooldown of 2 seconds instead of 1.
