It's a very rare drop from a very rare creature. They are extremely rare boots that have only been confirmed to exist on a few game worlds. Since Winter Update 2010, Bunnyslippers also are a rare gift from Santa Claus, thus reducing their rarity and value a bit.

Although this item was implemented in Summer Update 2004, it became obtainable only after Christmas Update 2004 with the implementation of raids.
