Notes

The result of an unspeakable ritual that mocks the holy secrets of creation, the Bonebeast is a harbinger of doom and pestilence. It is best described as a hideous conglomerate of bones and rotten flesh vaguely resembling a bull. Bonebeasts are often created by some unscrupulous lich, and they mindlessly obey their master's orders no matter what they are. More often than not, these orders include impaling one or more hapless victims on one of the Bonebeast's massive horns.

Skeletal creatures, they are summoned by Liches. After a patch, Bonebeasts started using the Poison Beam. Can be skinned to get Hardened Bones. See also: Hardened Bone/Skinning. You may hunt 300 of these as a task of the Killing in the Name of... Quest. Upon completion of the task you will face Ribstride.

Behaviour

Bonebeasts fight until death.

A bonebeast attacks in melee range.

Strategy

Use blockers to lure it, but avoid contact, while distance fighters shoot at it. A level 40 mage can survive healing with Intense Healing spell when soloing it. It's not recommended for knights to attempt soloing a bonebeast until level 50+. They yield good experience, especially for paladins considering it's not hard to kill them at a distance. Mages should run and use Flame Strike and Wand of Inferno or Hailstorm Rod for Druid. Running from them can result in running into bigger spawns, especially on Ramoa. For Paladin the best thing to do is to run with Royal Spear or Enchanted Spear and use Divine Missile and use Divine Caldera when surrounded. If your hp gets below 300, use Light Healing or Intense Healing.
